Man, these guys are bad at getting publicity out to me in a timely fashion.
The "first annual" Mountain Maryland Beer and Wine Festival is scheduled for this weekend (with the obvious caveat of "weather permitting") at Canal Place in downtown Cumberland, Md., noon to 9 PM Saturday and noon to six Sunday.
Breweries expected include Heavy Seas, Flying Dog, Fordham/Old Dominion, Brooklyn, Lancaster, Troegs, Victory, and Williamsburg; the Queen City Homebrew Club is also showing up and having a competition. The six wineries expected include five old (Boordy) and new wineries plus a well-regarded Virginia one (Horton).
