I got an e-mail from a reader:Do you know where I might be able to find any glasses/mugs from the old Baltimore Brewing Company? I'm actually looking for any sort of stuff that may remain that might have a logo of King Gambrinus, similar to this glass.Any help or ideas?

Usually I playfully change the image when someone links to a graphic on my internet domain, but I've been a lurker, reading Beer in Baltimore for quite some time since finding out about it on DC-BEER (no, really!)... so I don't mind the small bandwidth leakage in this instance. Keep up the great writing.

I was walking through the Butchers Hill "Craft Fair" 2 saturdays ago and saw someone with 2 DeGroens Growlers. I didnt feel like carrying them at the time, and would figure I would pick them up before we left (5 min later) and yep they were gone. My bad.
I'm a nut for glassware but I'm not the guy who's looking for this one. He just randomly happened to provided you with a link to the image on my site, I'm guessing. It's all good though, and I really do enjoy your blog. I hope he finds his glasses.

So what's the rarest beer glass you have of the "modern" craft beer era?
Wow, that’s a great question but a really tough one for me because I’ve always been an accidental collector. Everything I gathered over the years comes from actual brewery and brewpub visits so I’ve never approached it from a scarcity perspective. Many of those places are now closed so there might be a residual rarity in that regard but the real value comes from the memories these mementos invoke of an unrepeatable experience. I guess if I were to single out one, it would have to be the Bardo Rodeo growler which probably has little rarity but lots of personal value. I’ll never forget my wide-eyed stare as I first entered its cavernous space on its opening weekend, nor of the countless evenings spent there afterwards as I could walk to it from where I was living at the time. I think I even have a couple of their frequent drinker T-shirts hiding somewhere too. That’s perhaps a dubious achievement but one certainly evocative of a time.
